Town Honors Veterans

Posted on November 11th, 2016

The Town of Pageland surrounding community honored our veterans on Friday morning, November 11th. Several community leaders spoke, including Mayor Jason Evans, First Baptist Church Pastor Joel Dale, and veteran Randal Caldwell. The World War II Curtiss C-46 Commando transport plane known as Tinker Belle performed a double pass fly-over during the ceremony. The Town of Pageland would like to wish everyone a wonderful Veteran’s Day, and would like to express our appreciation for everyone who has served.

Pay Your Utility Bill Online

Posted on April 22nd, 2016

Pageland residents can now pay their utility bills online via the Town of Pageland’s new online bill pay system.

The payment portal can be found online at www.nbspay.net/townofpageland (or by clicking the “Pay Utility Bill” on the top menu). Click the orange button to register, or use Quick Pay to make a payment without registering an account.

Following an extensive and thorough evaluation and review of weather alerting systems, the Town of Pageland has implemented the CodeRED Weather Warning system, an automated weather warning technology that delivers phone calls, text messages, and emails to registered residents and businesses within the direct path of severe weather.

The CodeRed Weather Warning system will serve as the backbone of the Town of Pageland’s emergency planning and communications outreach to both residents and Pageland personnel by using the system capabilities to automatically deliver critical weather alerts to those within the projected path of a tornado, severe thunderstorm, or flash flood. The system, which was released in 2007, uses advanced polygon methodology and proprietary message delivery to ensure all notifications are delivered to those within the direct path of the storm.

All residents living within Pageland town limits are encouraged to click on the CodeRED logo to enroll in order to receive weather warnings. Weather notifications can be delivered by phone calls, text messages, emails, or a combination of the three. Additionally, the CodeRED enrollment page gives residents the opportunity to select which types of severe weather warnings they would like to receive. Residents are reminded that only warnings that impact their exact address will be notified because of advanced technology used to reduce false alarms.

*** If someone you know does not have internet access, please take a few moments to help your friend or family member register for the emergency database.

CBS Evening News, among other news outlets and public safety agencies across the country, have credited CodeRED Weather Warning notifications for potentially saving lives by delivering notifications well ahead of the storm to those impacted.
